Oleksii S. Lazorchyk

44-year-old senior sergeant Oleksiy Lazorchyk was killed on August 25, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region. Oleksiy was born in the village of Shevchenkove, Donetsk region. He graduated from the 8th grade of Pokrovsk comprehensive school, and received his complete general secondary education in Donetsk. Even during his studies, he was energetic, responsible, and active. After school, he served in the army. Later, he moved to Dnipro. He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Transport and Economic College. He stayed there to live and work. From the first days of the full-scale war, Oleksiy joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front. Unfortunately, the warrior's life was cut short in his native Donetsk region. "A brave warrior, a reliable comrade, a caring son and brother, a loving uncle, a reliable support for his son. He would have lived and lived, but a treacherous enemy took his life. Oleksiy Serhiyovych will always be an example of heroism and courage, selfless service to his Fatherland," noted the Pokrovsk community. "Lyosha... For me, you are not just Oleksiy, but more... Even from your early age, when you ran to me with open arms. We had our own (at that time) love. I don't want to believe in your death!!! Eternal memory to you, Lyoshenko!", wrote Lyudmyla Pakholka, a acquaintance of the deceased. Oleksiy left behind a wife and a son.
