- Scout Oleksiy Makohon (call sign Tactician) was killed on October 8, 2022, in the area of the village of Pishchane in Kharkiv region. While performing a combat mission, he sustained a fatal explosive injury. The warrior was 27 years old. Oleksiy was born in the village of Dmytrivka in Kharkiv region. He lived in Kharkiv. He graduated from the Kharkiv Higher Vocational Mechanical and Technological School and obtained a welding profession. Later, he received higher education at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, specializing in "Law." He had been passionate about military affairs since childhood. From 2014 to 2015, he served in the armed forces within the internal affairs agencies. Before the full-scale invasion, he served in the National Police of Ukraine. He was a participant in the ATO / JFO. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded medals and certificates. On February 24, 2022, he joined the ranks of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and took up the defense of his native Kharkiv region. Initially, Oleksiy served as a gunner and later performed complex combat tasks in the reconnaissance unit "Code 9.2." "He was the best. I have never met anyone like him. We miss him very much. He was kind, always helped everyone, responsible, caring, a true friend, a comrade, a good son, brave, courageous, the life of the party, cheerful, full of life, and never complained about anything," said the fiancée of the fallen soldier, Valeriya. The serviceman was buried at the Alley of Heroes in the central cemetery of the city of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv region. Oleksiy is survived by his parents, fiancée, relatives, friends, and comrades.
