- Born on June 1, 1991, in the city of Sudak (Autonomous Republic of Crimea). From 2005, he studied at secondary school No. 84 in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, which he graduated from in 2007. In 2010, he graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Professional Transport and Metallurgical Lyceum with a specialty in "Assistant of the Electric Locomotive Driver, Repairman of Rolling Stock." In 2010-2011, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He worked as a repairman of rolling stock at the Separate Structural Unit "Mudyron Wagon Depot" of the State Enterprise "Dniprovsk Railway." In August 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 17th Separate Guards Tank Kryvyi Rih Red Banner and Suvorov Order Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On February 1, 2015, near the village of Troitske in the Popasna district of Luhansk region, the tank crew (tank commander - junior sergeant Ostashevskyi, senior mechanic-driver - junior sergeant Denysiuk, and gunner - senior soldier Tkachuk) was killed during a battle as a result of an anti-tank guided missile hit. He was buried at the Glory Alley of the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih. On May 18, 2016, a memorial plaque was opened in Kryvyi Rih on the facade of secondary school No. 84 (Mylashenkova Street, 57), where Oleksii Ostashevskyi studied. On December 5, 2016, a Memorial to fallen graduates, including the name of Oleksii Ostashevskyi, was opened in the yard of the Kryvyi Rih Professional Transport and Metallurgical Lyceum (Ivan Avramenko Street, 25).Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
