- Soldier Oleksiy Yankovskyi (call sign Oleksa) was killed in action on July 24, 2022, near the village of Semihorye in Donetsk region. He stuwas killed in action at the Faculty of Philosophy of Tauride National University named after V.I. Vernadsky. Due to his pro-Ukrainian position, in 2015 he moved with his family to Ternopil region, and later settled in Lviv. He continued his studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He was fond of music, theater, programming, and philosophy. Before the invasion, he worked as an operator at Ukrposhta. With the start of the full-scale war, the man voluntarily went to the front, joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksiy sincerely believed in the victory over the occupiers and dreamed of liberating his native Crimea, so he bravely and courageously fought for Ukraine. "Oleksiy was a very bright person with a philosophical mind. He was looking for his place in this life, but did not have time to find it. If all such people like him die in our country, then it will have no future," said the father of the deceased, Serhiy. The fighter was buried in the village of Mlynivtsi, Ternopil region.
