Oleksii S. Zaklitskyi

Zaklitsky Oleksiy Stanislavovych was born on October 24, 1986, in Khmelnytskyi region. In 2004, he graduated from the Teofipol Professional-Agrarian Lyceum. Since the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation into the territory of Ukraine, Sergeant Oleksiy Zaklitsky was constantly in the combat zone and diligently fulfilled his duties and assigned tasks. As part of his unit, Oleksiy participated in fierce battles against superior enemy forces, reinforced by armored vehicles, which took place in the area of the villages of Solodke and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. He destroyed the enemy from a firing position, causing them to continuously retreat, suffering significant losses. On May 16, 2022, Sergeant Oleksiy Zaklitsky was carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. In the morning, the Russian Federation launched another massive assault on Ukrainian positions. While repelling the attack of the occupiers, Oleksiy Zaklitsky covered his comrades during their movement to fallback positions and sustained injuries incompatible with life due to a mine explosion. For his personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and for his loyalty to the military oath, Sergeant Oleksiy Stanislavovych Zaklitsky was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
