Oleksii V. Doroshenko

41-year-old soldier Oleksiy Doroshenko (call sign Jack) was killed on August 16, 2022 near the settlement of Stepova Dolyna in the Mykolaiv region. While performing his official duties, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Oleksiy was born in Odesa. He lived in Pivdenne, Odesa region. He graduated from Odesa National Polytechnic University. He was an engineer and chemical technologist by profession. He worked as the assistant to the head of the steam power shop at Delta Wilmar Ukraine LLC. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, swimming, and rowing. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of volunteers and stood up to defend his Homeland. He held the position of rifleman in the rifle squad of the rifle platoon of the rifle company of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. "Forgive us for not being able to save you from death, for all of us being orphaned, for everything, everything, forgive us," wrote the deceased's wife Hanna. The defender was buried in Pivdenne, Odesa region. At home, his wife and daughter were waiting for Oleksiy.
