Oleksii V. Kulish (Muzykant)

Sergeant Oleksii Kulish (call sign Musician) was killed on November 24, 2022, in the village of Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region, as a result of an explosive injury. The warrior was 27 years old. Oleksii was born in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He received his education at the Ingulets Vocational Lyceum and then at the Ukrainian Polytechnic Technical School. He graduated from a music school, specializing in saxophone. For six years, he served under a contract in the 194th Pontoon-Bridge Regiment. He played in the military orchestra. In peacetime, he worked abroad. At the Electrolux plant in Poland, he was an assembler of washing machines. During the full-scale invasion, he joined the defense of Ukraine as part of the 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a sapper. Oleksii was awarded the "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation" distinction, the "For Merit to the City" badge of the III degree, and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "Oleksii was a responsible, kind, sensitive, gentle son, brother, and comrade," said his mother, Liubov Kulish. The hero is buried in the cemetery in the village of Shyroka Dacha, Kryvyi Rih district. Oleksii is survived by his parents and brother.
