- 58-year-old Junior Sergeant Oleksiy Naumov (call sign "Dobryi) died on August 29, 2022, during the liberation of the Kherson region. Near the village of Olhyne, he and his comrades-in-arms were blown up by an anti-tank mine. Oleksiy was born and lived in Ordzhonikidze (now Pokrov) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He obtained the profession of a locksmith at the local vocational school. In peacetime, he was an electric gas welder. He worked for a significant part of his life at the Pokrovsk Mining and Processing Plant. In the last years of his life, he worked at the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant. He loved to play chess, studied the history of Ukraine, wrote poems, and was a participant in the city's amateur art activities. During the full-scale war, the man became a fighter of the 60th Separate Mechanized Ingulec Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the grenade launcher platoon of the 96th Infantry Battalion. Oleksiy Volodymyrovich was called "Dobryi" (Good) even in peacetime, but with the addition of the word "ranok" (morning). "Dobryi ranok" (Good morning) was the nickname he received because he greeted everyone that way, as he wanted to accustom the people around him to the Ukrainian language, which he loved, respected, and used in his life. The nickname from civilian life transferred to the military, but with a shortening - "Dobryi". "The father for our family is a luminary, an example of an untiring worker, responsibility, optimism, ingenuity, and boundless love for his family and country. In the first days of the invasion, he went as a volunteer. Due to his age, they did not want to take him into the army, but the father said that he would stand at the military registration and enlistment office around the clock, but he would achieve his goal. When asked by the commander why he went to serve, he said: 'It's not time to die young!' A real man, a hero, a friend, and the best father in the world! We love him endlessly and miss him, we are incredibly proud!" - said the daughter of the fallen. The defender was buried in his native city. At home, Oleksiy was awaited by his wife Raisa, son Oleksiy, and daughter Yulia. He was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Pokrov" and awarded the medal "For Merit to the City".Memory Platform 'Memorial'
