Oleksii V. Romenskyi (Volia)

Junior Sergeant Oleksiy Romenskyi (call sign Volya) was killed on July 14, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the city of Siversk in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 38 years old. Oleksiy was born in the village of Burgunka, Kherson region. He studied at a boarding school, as he was the sixth child in a large family. He completed 9 grades and went to work in construction. Initially, he was an assistant, then he started doing full-service repairs himself. In his free time, he loved fishing, playing volleyball, and table tennis. He liked active recreation. He loved everything beautiful. During the full-scale war, the man defended Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A4017, was the commander of a rifle squad. "I am the civil wife of the best, kind, loving, courageous, brave and valiant man, who will forever remain in my heart and the hearts of his loved ones. Such a man is the dream of every woman, but it was not destined to become his lawful wife," said the deceased's beloved woman Olga. The fighter was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Krasnopilsky cemetery in Dnipro. Oleksiy is survived by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, his beloved, and two children from previous relationships.
