Oleksii V. Vdovenko

Born on February 12, 1983, in the urban-type settlement of Voronizh, Shostka district, Sumy region. In 1999, he graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Voronizh, and in 2000, he graduated from vocational technical school No. 42 of the urban-type settlement of Voronizh (since 2009, it has been part of the Shostka Center for Vocational and Technical Education, city of Shostka). From 2011, he worked as a driver for the Shostka Gas Management Department of the Public Joint Stock Company "Sumygas." In March 2014, he was mobilized by the Shostka-Sredino-Bud Combined City Military Commissariat of the Sumy region into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the rocket battery of the rocket artillery division of the 27th rocket artillery regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1476, city of Sumy). On April 13, 2014, in the village of Dovhopolivka, Romensky district, Sumy region, during the redeployment of the military unit, the driver of the vehicle, soldier Vdovenkov, lost control on the road, causing the vehicle to overturn on its right side and fall off a bridge into the water. As a result of the traffic accident, two servicemen - Maxim Aranchiy and Oleksiy Vdovenko - died, unable to escape from the flooded cabin of the vehicle. He is buried at the Prechistynske cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Voronizh.
