Oleksii Ye. Ivanchenko

25-year-old soldier Oleksiy Ivanchenko was killed on July 30, 2023 near the village of Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region. During an enemy artillery barrage, he sustained a fatal injury: a fragment hit the soldier in the chest. Oleksiy was born and lived in the village of Velyki Korovyntsi, Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Velykokorovyntsi secondary school. He then studied as a carpenter and drywall installer at the Kyiv Vocational School. He earned most of his income abroad. In Ukraine, he worked as a construction worker. He also was an employee of "Nova Poshta". During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his country from the enemy. He served in the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Major General Roman Dashkevych. "I loved, I love, I will love for the rest of my life," wrote the widow of the fallen Natalia. "Oleksiy remained forever faithful to the military oath, because, by participating in the defense of our Motherland, protecting each of us, he gave the most valuable thing - his life," noted the Chudniv community. The artilleryman was buried in his native town. At home, Oleksiy was awaited by his parents, sister, wife and daughter.
