Oleksii Ye. Yanin (Indianets)

Yanin Oleksiy Yevhenovych was born on October 5, 1983, in the city of Zaporizhzhia. At the age of 9, he started practicing boxing. At the age of 21, he went into Thai boxing. He trained at the Scorpion Sports Club. After numerous awards, he left his sports career and in 2014 was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2015, after completing his military service, he managed to return home for a week, after which he went to defend the country as a contractor in the separate special forces unit of the National Guard "Azov", where he served until 2019. In August 2017, he got married. The wedding took place on the island of Khortytsia according to the ancient Ukrainian ritual. In 2019, the couple had a son. In 2020, Oleksiy signed another 3-year contract with the OZSP "Azov". On March 10, 2022, during the defense of the city of Mariupol, he was shot in the leg and spent 3 weeks in the hospital. He was killed of his wounds on April 7, 2022. He is survived by his wife and son.
