- 39-year-old senior soldier Mykola Tkachov (call sign Taxist) was killed in action on June 23, 2022, in the area of the village of Malyshivka in Kharkiv region. The defender returned from a successful combat mission and came under artillery fire. Mykola was born in the village of Burlatske, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from Veselivka school, then immediately went to work to help his mother feed the family. He lived in the city of Kryvyi Rih. Then, with his wife, little daughter, and nephew, he moved to the city of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv region. In civilian life, he loved to spend time with his family, always taking his wife and daughter with him everywhere. He often repaired cars, but what he did with all his free time was helping others. He was a military man from the very beginning of the war in 2014, because he could not stay away. Mykola was well versed in new BTR E-4, in all cars: both old and new. He was the one who received new equipment and was well aware of this matter. During the full-scale war, Taxi, as part of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Cossack Hetman Ivan Sirko, defended Kharkiv region from Russian occupiers. Mykola had always dreamed of education. He entered the Kryvyi Rih Center of Professional Education of Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering. And on June 23, 2022, on the day of his death, he officially received a diploma and finally received a specialty. However, he did not have time to find out about it. "Mykola was a very good, caring person, always helped everyone, sacrificing himself. He wanted the best for his family, took care of them, valued every minute spent together. Even during the war, while performing combat missions, he helped people, brought necessary things, medicines. Combat comrades and volunteers considered Mykola their talisman," said Iryna, Mykola's wife's daughter. Mykola Tkachov was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih. The defender left behind his mother, son, wife, 2-year-old daughter, and two non-biological daughters. The rural community of Veselivka village honored Mykola's memory with a memorial plaque at the school where he stu.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
