- 22-year-old assault trooper Pavlo Huranda (call sign Rudyi) was killed on September 1, 2023 near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission to evacuate a group of soldiers to a safe area, he received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. Pavlo was born and raised in Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad region. He completed his secondary education at school No. 4. He then entered the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", where he studied at the Faculty of Electrical Power Engineering and Automation. He loved to draw, read fantasy, and watch anime. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, Pavlo, together with his twin brother Oleksii, joined the ranks of the volunteer territorial defense formation of Kyiv. Later, after the liberation of the Kyiv region, the guys transferred to the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Mahura". Even in the trenches, the brothers continued their studies at the university. After the war, Pavlo planned to complete his master's degree and open a public organization to support the military. "Pasha was always wise and fair, even from childhood. And he went to fight for his ideals, like his favorite book and movie characters. I can't imagine any parallel reality where Pasha wouldn't fight. But I really want to imagine the one where he's alive. I could tell a lot about how he loved nature and how funny he joked, but perhaps the most important thing I can say is that he was very strongly loved, is loved, and will always be loved. And we are very grateful to him," his friend said. "You were always on the side of good and justice. I watched you grow up, and that's why it hurts me so much... I know how much all children want to crown the completion of school with a festive graduation and the meeting of the sunrise the next morning. And you, Pavlusho, also wanted it, but you and your brother made a truly courageous decision not to celebrate the graduation, because there was already a war with Russia in Ukraine and the military were dying in the ATO zone. And later you did not remain aloof from the troubles of the country, whose citizen you were, and joined the Kyiv territorial defense in February 2022. Rest, Hero, your fight is over, but you managed to point the way of salvation to your comrades-in-arms," Ruslan Yeremenko wrote. The young warrior was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Pavlo is survived by a loving family, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
