- Born on June 28, 1983, in the village of Radgospne (since 2016 - Stepove) of the Snihurivka district in Mykolaiv region. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Chervona Dolyna, Snihurivka district. Mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a grenade launcher in the 3rd section of the 2nd mechanized platoon of the 5th mechanized company of the 93rd separate guards mechanized brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302 (field post V2830), the urban-type settlement of Cherkaské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Mongol". On September 4, 2015, soldier Matsyshyn sustained serious injuries as a result of an accident while performing his official duties. The injured serviceman was transported to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I.I. Mechnikov in the city of Dnipropetrovsk (since 2016 - Dnipro), where he died from his injuries on September 6, 2015. On September 8, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Radgospne (since 2016 - Stepove) in the Snihurivka district of Mykolaiv region. In the village of Chervona Dolyna, Snihurivka district, Mykolaiv region, a memorial plaque was opened on the building of the general education school (22 Myru Street), where Pavlo Matsyshyn studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
