Pavlo D. Torak (Kipish)

Junior Sergeant Pavlo Torak (call sign Kipish) was killed on August 8, 2023, in the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, during a tank shelling. Pavlo was 34 years old. He was born in the village of Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia region, and lived in the city of Pidhorodne in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Berdyansk Vocational School of Mechanical Engineering, where he obtained the profession of a driver. Since 2020, he has been engaged in entrepreneurial activities. In the summer of 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, he held the position of senior sergeant of the platoon of the 46th separate airmobile brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kherson region and held the defense of Soledar in the Donetsk region for 21 days. "Pasha was a fair, sensitive and courageous guy. He never left his comrades-in-arms and helped them. People like him deserve the title of Hero!" wrote his civil wife Olesya Yechina. The warrior was buried in Pidhorodne. Pavlo left behind a mother, a civil wife, and three children. Posthumously, Pavlo Torak was awarded the "Steel Cross" badge and the Order of Courage of the III degree.
