Pavlo I. Durunda

Born on June 24, 1971, in the urban-type settlement of Bushtyno, Tiachiv district, Zakarpattia region. Graduated from the secondary school of the urban-type settlement of Bushtyno. On January 30, 2015, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Completed military training at the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region). Served as a driver-electrician in the special works platoon of the repair and restoration battalion of the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia region). Since 2015, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 7, 2015, soldier Durunda was killed as a result of a combat clash with a sabotage and reconnaissance group of militants that crossed the Siverskyi Donets River near the village of Bolotene in the Stanytsia Luhanska district of Luhansk region. On September 12, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Bushtyno, Tiachiv district, Zakarpattia region.
