- Sailor Pavlo Polovyi (call sign Chechen) was killed on May 30, 2023, while in Russian captivity in the settlement of Pakino. The defender was 23 years old. Pavlo was from the settlement of Oleksandrivka in the Kirovohrad region. He studied at the local school. He then enrolled at the A.F. Mozhevsky Academy in Poland, where he studied "Management". Since 2020, he has been serving under contract in the ranks of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Navy. During the full-scale war, he held the position of a grenadier and participated in the defense of Mariupol. In May 2022, along with other defenders, he left Azovstal on the orders of the leadership and went into captivity to the occupiers, from where he never returned. "Pasha was my first love, and I became his last. He was the best person, very kind, sensitive, brave and courageous. To the last, he was faithful to Ukraine and his comrades-in-arms. He defended Mariupol and never thought of leaving the city or surrendering voluntarily," said the fallen warrior's girlfriend, Anna Tirpak. In March 2024, the marine was laid to rest in his native village. Pavlo is survived by his father and his beloved.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
