- Born on July 11, 1989, in the city of Stryi, Lviv region. In 2005, he graduated from the 9th grade of secondary school No. 7 in Stryi, and in 2008 - from the Higher Vocational School No. 8 in Stryi, obtaining the profession of "Computer Typist." He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He worked as an engineer in the production preparation department of the Limited Liability Company "Leoni" in the village of Nezhukhiv, Stryi district, Lviv region. On May 21, 2014, he was called up for partial mobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a medic in the 24th Separate Mechanized Samara-Ulyanovsk Berdychiv Iron Order of the October Revolution, three-time Order of the Red Banner, and Orders of Suvorov and Bohdan Khmelnytsky Brigade named after Prince Daniel of Galicia of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0998, city of Yavoriv, Lviv region). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 7, 2014, around 7:00 AM, Senior Soldier Koval was killed as a result of a shell hitting the ambulance he was in while escorting the wounded near the urban-type settlement of Pobeda in the Snizhne City Council of Donetsk region. Junior Sergeant Taras Stelmakh was killed alongside him. He was buried on August 13, 2014, at the city cemetery in Stryi.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
