Pavlo M. Redkovych

Born on August 25, 1992, in the village of Maidan, Kovel District, Volyn Region. Completed 3 grades of general education school in the village of Maidan, Kovel District, then 9 grades of general education school in the village of Novy Mosyr, Kovel District, and then attended Vocational Technical School No. 22 in the urban-type settlement of Lukiv, Turiyisk District, Volyn Region. In 2011-2012, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 2013, he served under contract in the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0284, Lviv). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 31, 2014, Senior Soldier Redkovych was killed during a battle with Russian-terrorist groups near the urban-type settlement of Heorhiivka, Luhansk Region. He was buried on September 7, 2014, in the cemetery of the village of Maidan, Kovel District. On August 31, 2015, a memorial plaque in honor of Pavlo Redkovych was unveiled in the center of the village of Maidan, Kovel District.
