Pavlo M. Stretovych (Zootekhnik)

Soldier Pavlo Stretovych (call sign Zootechnik) was killed on August 3, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhia region. The warrior was 36 years old. Pavlo was from the village of Meleni, Zhytomyr region. He studied at the local school. In 2007, he graduated from the Nemishaiv Professional College. He worked as an excavator driver's assistant at the Irshansk processing plant. He was passionate about hunting. In December 2022, the man was mobilized into the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 46th separate airmobile brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Donetsk and Zaporizhia directions. "I really miss my beloved husband, the smile that was always on his face, and his positive attitude. Pavlo was the best dad for our two little sons," said the wife of the fallen. Pavlo was buried in the village of Irshansk, Zhytomyr region. At home, he was awaited by his wife Maia and two sons: Serhii and Mykhailo. The paratrooper was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
