- 36-year-old soldier Pavlo Harbuz was killed on February 28, 2022 during the defense of Chernihiv. The life of the defender was cut short by enemy artillery shelling. Pavlo was born in the village of Zhavynka, Chernihiv region. He studied at the local school. He obtained the profession of an electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment at the Chernihiv Vocational and Technical School No. 1. He worked in his specialty at various enterprises in the Chernihiv region. He served in the military. In 2015-2016, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. On the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, Pavlo again stood up to defend Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 134th separate battalion of protection and service of the OK "North", held the position of commander of the BMP-1. "Our Pashka was very brave, honest, hardworking, kind, always helped everyone. He was the best son, brother, friend... He greatly respected and loved his parents. He had many plans for the future. On the very first day of the full-scale invasion, without hesitation, he went to defend his native land. He had already looked war in the face and knew where he was going. In response to his mother's plea not to go, who had already lost one child and was very worried about her only son, he said: "If not me, then who?!". He was a true and courageous man! We miss him very much. We always love and remember you! Our Hero!" - said the cousin of the deceased Valentyna. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, his parents were waiting for Pavlo. Posthumously, soldier Pavlo Harbuz was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
