- 38-year-old junior sergeant Pavlo Klymenko was killed on August 13, 2023 in battle near the settlement of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. Pavlo was born and lived in the city of Boyarka, Kyiv region. He graduated from the local secondary school No. 2 and the Kyiv Energy Technical School. In 2003-2005 he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In peacetime, he worked as an electrician at the Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology and as an electric fitter for equipment repair at Kyivmetrobud. During the full-scale invasion, the man joined the National Guard of Ukraine and went to the front. He served in the 25th Brigade of Public Order Protection named after Prince Askold. He held the position of platoon commander. "Pavlo was very kind, brave, always smiling, always helping people, loved his family, especially his newborn daughter. He was devoted to his duty, his land, he was a sincere patriot, he loved his Motherland. His courage will remain in my heart forever. It hurts me terribly, but I know he would want me and our daughter not to give up. We had big plans for life, dreams, but the war made its own adjustments. He was everything to me, and his warmth will burn in me until the end of my days. I loved and love him, he is forever in the hearts of me and our daughter," wrote his wife Oksana. "My uncle always brought joy and light into my life. His kindness and wisdom will remain in my memory forever. He was an example of courage and honor, ready to sacrifice himself for others. The memory of him will live in our hearts eternally as a bright example of true patriotism. We will always be proud of him. Our unforgettable Hero of Ukraine," added Valeriia, the deceased's niece. The defender was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery in his hometown. Pavlo is survived by his grandmother, mother, brother, wife, daughter and two nieces. The National Guardsman was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
