Pavlo O. Korzh

Senior soldier Pavlo Korzh died on January 31, 2023 in the hospital in Zaporizhzhia from wounds received the day before in a battle near the village of Vremivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 28 years old. Pavlo was born in the city of Pershotravensk, Dnipropetrovsk region. He studied at school No. 4. Then he obtained the profession of an underground electrician at the Pershotravensk Mining Lyceum. For five years he worked as a specialist in one of the mines of his hometown. He served his military service in Zaporizhzhia, where he received the rank of senior soldier. He spent several years in Poland, where he gained a lot of experience in various fields of activity. From there, shortly before the full-scale invasion, he returned to Ukraine. He loved to cook very much. For some time he worked in one of the catering establishments of his city. In March 2022, during the full-scale invasion of Russian invaders, Pavlo, together with his brother, went as a volunteer to defend his country. The man became a shooter of the 128th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front line. "My husband was a person who loved life very much. The kind, polite, sensitive, optimistic Pavlo never gave up, even in critical situations. A strong thirst for life gave him incredible strength, which he used for the benefit of those around him," said the wife of the fallen Tetyana. The warrior was buried in his hometown. At home, Pavlo was awaited by his father, stepmother, sisters, brother, wife, friends and relatives.
