- Sergeant Pavlo Mantula (call sign Dean) died on July 11, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The defender was forever 29 years old. Pavlo was born in the settlement of Ilarionove (now the settlement of Yavornytske) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine and became a master of higher school pedagogy. Since 2020, he had worked in the Judicial Protection Service. He loved, studied, and knew well the Constitution and laws of Ukraine. After the war, he wanted to work at the Institute of Internal Affairs. He loved to spend his free time with his family, always going out to explore new places with his daughter. After the start of the full-scale war, the man went to serve in the National Police of Ukraine. Later, he was transferred to the separate assault brigade "Fury". After being released from the encirclement, he was awarded the medal "For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine". "This is the most honest and fair person in my life. The best son, brother, husband, and father. A man who, despite everything, always smiled..." said the wife of the deceased. Pavlo was buried in his native settlement. He is survived by his mother Olena Volodymyrivna, father Oleksandr Oleksandrovych, brother Vitaliy, wife Karina, and daughter Karolina.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
