Pavlo O. Popov (Pakha)

Senior soldier Pavlo Popov (call sign Pakha) was killed on September 8, 2023 during a mortar attack near the village of Priyutne in the Zaporizhia region. The warrior was forever 30 years old. Pavlo was born in the city of Dniprorrudne, Zaporizhia region. In civilian life, he worked at the Zaporizhia Iron Ore Plant, holding the position of on-duty electrician for maintenance of networks and substations. During the full-scale invasion, Pavlo could not stand aside and joined the 113th battalion of the 110th separate brigade of the territorial defense. For his service, the soldier was awarded a number of awards, including the medal "For Excellent Service" and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "He was very sensitive, always helped everyone, never refused anyone," his wife Larysa said. The defender was buried at the Kushugum cemetery near Zaporizhia. Pavlo is survived by his wife and parents.
