Pavlo S. Parkhomenko (Chapai)

Soldier Pavlo Parkhomenko (call sign Chapaev) was killed on August 20, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Volodymyrivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 44 years old. Pavlo was born and lived in Dnipro. He studied at the Dnipropetrovsk Automobile Transport College. He graduated from the Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University. He worked at a local agricultural firm. In his free time, he loved to go fishing and hunting. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man without hesitation took up arms and joined the ranks of the defenders. He served in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman in a rifle company. "My heart is breaking with pain. In the battle with the Russian filth, a real Hero, my comrade, my classmate Pashka Parkhomenko, was killed. From the very beginning of the war, he went to defend our Motherland from the enemy invasion. His heart was stopped by the enemy's iron. There is one less incredibly brave, kind and sincere person. Deepest condolences to Pakha's relatives and friends. We will hit the enemy with all our might, we will avenge every hero who was killed in this damned war. Eternal memory. Glory to the Heroes, death to the enemies," wrote Pavlo Poplinskyi. The warrior was buried in his hometown. Pavlo is survived by his mother, daughter and two twin sisters.
