Pavlo V. Kovalskyi

Kovalskyi Pavlo Vasylovych was born on June 25, 1977, in the village of Verbivka, Zviahelskyi district, in the Zhytomyr region, where he also lived. In 1994, he graduated from gymnasium No. 9. After completing a military higher education institution, he served in the 30th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrohskyi. He held the position of deputy chief of staff of the tank battalion. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was at the forefront. He was killed on May 6, 2022, during an artillery bombardment. The farewell ceremony for the fallen took place on May 10, 2022, at the Garrison Officers' House in Novohrad-Volynskyi. The officer was buried in the cemetery of the village of Verbivka, Chyzhivska rural community, in the Zhytomyr region.
