Pavlo Yu. Proskura (Lysyi)

41-year-old soldier Pavlo Proskura (call sign Lysyi) was killed on February 17, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian defenders, in which Pavlo was, was blown up by an enemy mine. The warrior was born in the city of Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from 9 grades of the local school. Then he obtained the profession of a gas welder at the Zaporizhzhia Vocational School No. 29. He worked at LLC "Bosal Manufacturing Ukraine". He was passionate about traveling and fishing. In the spring of 2022, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He served in the 3rd (Luhansk) border detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Pikus. He fought in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. In 2023, he received the awards "Participant of Combat Operations" and "For Courage in the Protection of the State Border". "Good, brave, always the first, responsibly fulfilled tasks," said the mother of the deceased Svitlana Dmytrivna. The border guard was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Kushuhum cemetery in his hometown. At home, his mother was waiting for Pavlo.
