Petro F. Dudkevych

Born on June 30, 1965, in the village of Serhiivka, Horokhiv district, Volyn region. Graduated from high school. Served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR. Lived with his family in the village of Horinchovo, Khust district, Zakarpattia region. Worked on excavators and tracked tractors, then at a sawmill for a private entrepreneur. On July 14, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V0927, cities of Sievierodonetsk/Lysychansk, Luhansk region), then in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. From August 2016, he served at checkpoints near the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. During his service in the anti-terrorist operation zone, Petro Dudkevych fell ill with pneumonia with complications. On August 31, 2016, the serviceman was taken to the hospital. Doctors fought for the soldier's life, but their efforts proved futile. On September 6, 2016, soldier Petro Dudkevych died of acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Horinchovo, Khust district, Zakarpattia region.
