- Born on July 13, 1989, in the village of Nedilishche, Emilian district, Zhytomyr region. In 2004, he graduated from the 9th grade of the general education school in the village of Nedilishche, in 2006 - from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Yablunets, Emilian district, and in 2010 - from the Center for Vocational and Technical Education in the city of Zhytomyr. From November 2, 2006, to October 30, 2007, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (city of Haisyn, Vinnytsia region). On April 12, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1st airborne assault platoon of the 1st airborne assault company of the 1st airborne assault battalion of the 95th separate airborne brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0281, city of Zhytomyr). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On October 19, 2014, during a combat mission to secure the movement of a convoy of equipment at the 32nd checkpoint, a column of Ukrainian soldiers was ambushed by Russian-terrorist groups near the village of Smile in the Sloviansk district of Luhansk region. During the battle, the BTR-80 armored personnel carrier, in which soldier Maksymenko was located, was hit multiple times by a mounted anti-tank grenade launcher SPG-9. As a result of one of the hits, soldier Maksymenko was killed. On November 2, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Nedilishche, Emilian district.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
