- Junior Sergeant Petro Savchuk (call sign Sava) was killed on October 16, 2022, in a battle with occupiers near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 36 years old. Petro was born in the village of Zapillia in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Zhytomyr Construction College. He lived with his family in the city of Korosten in the Zhytomyr region. He worked as a builder in Ukraine and abroad. He was passionate about music and taught himself to play various musical instruments. During the full-scale war, Petro joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 43rd Separate Rifle Battalion, military unit A4080. He was a machine gun section commander. "I lost my love and happiness. I loved my husband very much, and he loved me! He was my support, my rock. Reliable, loyal, friendly, cheerful! My beloved was a very brave person. He could not just sit at home or hide somewhere. He was a courageous warrior who went to protect us from the enemy. From the very beginning, he was near Sievierodonetsk, and then he defended Bakhmut, where he perished in that hell! This is unbearable pain; my son and I are very sad and cannot accept that our loving dad is no longer among the living! I am ready to scream to the whole world how wonderful my husband was. I felt peace and care with him. And he was the best dad! A hard worker, how many houses he built in Ukraine and abroad! Wherever you look in the apartment, everything is done by his golden hands! He was romantic: there were always flowers at home! And most importantly, he showed what true, sincere love is. We had a special relationship that grew stronger over the years!" said the wife of the fallen. "May you rest in peace, my dear friend! Damn Rashists, may you burn in hell!!! Friend, rest in peace. Eternal glory to you, our defender. You will always live in our hearts," wrote Alina Siabryk. The warrior was buried in the village of Zherevtsi in the Zhytomyr region. At home, Petro was awaited by his wife Lyudmyla and son Nikita.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
