- 36-year-old soldier Petro Rudovsky was killed on October 15, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Raihorodka, Luhansk region. The defender sustained mine and explosive injuries incompatible with life. Petro was born in the village of Dvirtsi, Lviv region. He graduated from the Chervonohrad Professional Mining Lyceum. After that, he served in the army in Chervonohrad. He worked as a mechanic and electric welder. He did repair work in Ukraine. Then he worked at a private sawmill in Poland. He often helped his mother with household chores. He loved to ride motorcycles. Shortly before the full-scale invasion, he bought a car and was very happy to fulfill his long-held dream. After February 24, 2022, Petro returned from abroad, where he had a long-term job, and volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 68th Separate Rifle Brigade. He was a gunner. "Petya was very kind. He couldn't refuse people and tried to please everyone. He had a lot of friends. They often gathered, supported each other, and helped with everyday matters. He always remembered everyone: to congratulate on a holiday, to bring a treat, to invite or come to visit... The war did not change him. After the injury, he told me that he could not not go back, because his comrades-in-arms were there, and they were already like brothers: one trench, one dinner, one mission. This is a terrible loss for us. The price of freedom he paid. We will remember him forever!" - the defender's cousin Khrystyna Lutskiv said. The hero was buried in his native village. Petro is survived by his mother, grandmother, sister, and brother with their families.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
