Petro R. Hrytsiushko (Malyi)

Senior soldier Petro Hrytsyushko (call sign Malyi) was killed on September 19, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of Orikhi, Zaporizhzhia region. Two months before this, the warrior turned 27 years old. Petro was a native and resident of Ivano-Frankivsk. After finishing the 9th grade of school, he entered the Ivano-Frankivsk Professional Lyceum of Automotive Transport and Construction. There he acquired the profession of plasterer, tiler. He worked at the "Evrokomfort-IF" company, holding the position of ventilation system installer. He was fond of fishing and painting. In 2021, he got married. With the start of the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the defenders. He underwent training at the 356th Artillery Unit of the 184th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which trains ground artillery specialists. From May 2022, he continued his service in the ranks of the self-propelled artillery division of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The military was awarded the following awards: "For Honor and Valor", "Defender of the Fatherland", "Golden Cross" (posthumously). "He was a true combat comrade and a loving husband and son who gave his life for Ukraine..." said the wife of the fallen Maryana. Petro was buried in the village of Chukalivka, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The hero left behind his parents Olha Bohdanivna and Roman Petrovych, his wife Maryana, and his sister Liudmyla. Posthumously, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Ivano-Frankivsk".
