Petro S. Rozkvas

Soldier Petro Rozkvas was killed on September 13, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region. An enemy rocket attack claimed the life of the 29-year-old defender. Petro was born in the village of Bazaliya in the Khmelnytskyi region. There he received his education. His greatest passion from a young age was cars and technology. Because of this, he did not hesitate long in choosing his future profession and became a car mechanic. Outside of work, he loved to engage in sports and meet with friends, and later — spend time with his young son. With the onset of full-scale war, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A7024 (the engineering and bridging battalion). He carried out combat missions on the front lines. Until the end, he believed in victory over the enemy. "He was the bravest, very sincere and kind, and never refused to help. All acquaintances, friends, and relatives always heard only good words from Petro. We constantly received support and protection. It is very hard to realize that the bright and brave Petya is no longer with us," said the deceased's sister, Maria. "Our fellow countryman from the village of Bazaliya, Petro Rozkvas, has . He fulfilled his civic and military duties with honor and dignity until the end. Words cannot describe all the pain and horror that each of us is feeling right now. In this bitter moment, we sincerely share the grief with the defender's family. As a community, we bow our heads in deep sorrow. Eternal memory and glory to the warrior of Ukraine!" said the Theofipol Village Council. The soldier was buried in the village of Theofipol in the Khmelnytskyi region. Petro is survived by his parents, sister, and son.
