- Senior soldier Petro Perovskyi was killed on August 8, 2023 near the settlement of Bilohirivka in the Luhansk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. On July 12, the defender turned 25 years old. Petro was born and lived in the city of Horishni Plavni, Poltava region. He graduated from the 9th grade of the Komsomolska Gymnasium named after V.O. Nyzhnychenko. He then continued his studies at the local Polytechnic College. Later, he graduated from the Kremenchuk National University named after Mykhailo Ostrogradskyi, where he obtained the qualification of an electrical engineer. He worked at the crushing and enrichment plant of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant, holding the position of on-duty electrical mechanic for equipment repair. He loved life and tried to live it brightly. At the beginning of the full-scale war, in February 2022, the man was mobilized into the army. He served in the 41st separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "We were born on the same day, on the day of Peter and Paul, July 12. He was the best of all I knew. He volunteered from the first day of the full-scale war, defended Ukraine first near the village of Bohorodychne, and then near the village of Bilohirivka. You will forever remain in our hearts as a very kind and bright person. Sleep peacefully, brother!" - wrote Pavlo Perovskyi. The defender was buried with honors on the territory of the military memorial "Their names will live forever" in his native Horishni Plavni.
