Petro V. Skish (Tankist)

Sergeant Petro Skish (call sign Tankist) was killed on December 11, 2022, in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during enemy mortar shelling. The defender was forever 26 years old. Petro was born and lived in the village of Seredpiltsi, Lviv region. He stuwas killed at the local gymnasium. Then he obtained the profession of a car mechanic at the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Computer Technologies and Construction. In civilian life, he worked as a welder at the "Hospodar" store in Radehiv. He loved to play football, fish, and spend time with his family and his beloved dog Graf. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man defended his country in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He was a senior driver-mechanic. "The man was very good, friendly, devoted and responsible at his work, a loving father and husband. He loved his daughter Sofiya very much, she is his copy. He was not afraid, but went as a volunteer to defend Ukraine, he did not hide, but acted like a real man and a loving father. It is still hard to believe that he is no longer here..." - said the wife of the fallen Hanna. The warrior was buried in his native village. Petro is survived by his father, two brothers, wife, daughter, cousin, and two aunts. A memorial plaque in his honor was opened at the Seredpiltsi gymnasium.
