Petro V. Tymoshchuk (Petrukha, Petka)

Paratrooper Petro Tymoshchuk was killed on April 22, 2022, near the village of Kurulka in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained a fatal shrapnel wound. The warrior was left with 30 years of age forever. Petro was from the village of Avratyn in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from Lubar Professional Lyceum and obtained the professions of a welder and tractor driver. He worked as a tractor driver at the company "Agro-region". Later, he carried out repair work in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Irpin. During the full-scale war, the man defended Ukraine from Russian occupiers as part of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. From the first days, together with his comrades, he defended the hottest directions. "Brave, strong, courageous, empathetic son. He never left his comrade in trouble, always came to help, even in combat he was always the first. According to his comrades, he carried out a comrade from the battlefield and returned for the second one - then death overtook him there, a shrapnel wound to the chest, and Petro did not return to his guys," said the mother of the fallen soldier Valentyna Mykolaivna. Petro was survived by his parents, five sisters, and four brothers. Posthumously, soldier Petro Tymoshchuk was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree. The hero was buried in his native village.
