Pylyp O. Holovynskyi

29-year-old Pylyp Holovynskyi was killed on the territory of a military unit on October 8, 2022, during a missile strike on Zaporizhzhia. The defender died from acute bleeding caused by a shrapnel injury to his body. Pylyp was from Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from the National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic." He worked as a security systems engineer at the PJSC "Vognetryv" factory in Zaporizhzhia. When the full-scale war began, he joined the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade "Zaporizhzhia Sich" and from the first days stood up to defend Ukraine and his hometown. "He defended Ukraine and was always ready to give his life for it, and he did... like a true hero. A Russian missile hit him just when he was on duty at the military unit. We will never forgive the Russians," said his mother Inna. The serviceman was buried in Matviivka village in the Zaporizhzhia region. Pylyp is survived by his parents, a brother, and a civil partner.
