Radomyr I. Oliinyk (Tuman)

Paratrooper Radomir Oliinyk (call sign Fog) was killed on October 21, 2023, from a bullet fired by an enemy sniper while carrying out a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia direction. The warrior was 18 years old. Radomir was from the village of Postolivka, Ternopil region. He graduated from the local school. Then he studied at the Ternopil Higher Vocational School No. 4 named after Mykhailo Parashchuk. Even during his schooling, he said that as soon as he came of age, he would go and defend Ukraine. He had many friends because he was reliable, sincere, and cheerful. The young man kept his word. In the summer of 2023, he turned 18 and went to the military registration and enlistment office, and later became a serviceman of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman in the 46th separate airmobile brigade. "Radomir was a sincere and reliable friend of my daughter," said Natalia Yatskiv. "He was not afraid of death and the military life that awaited him. Despite all the pleas of his relatives and acquaintances, he bravely went to defend our Ukraine. He defended our land in the Zaporizhzhia direction. He always said: 'I will fight to the last breath!'" He left behind parents who loved and were proud of him and his deeds, and waited for him to return home with victory with love and warmth. The memory of the hero will live forever. "His heart stopped so that ours could beat! Sleep peacefully, my friend," wrote the deceased's friend Diana Vintoniak. Posthumously, soldier Radomir Oliinyk was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. The young warrior was buried in his native village. At home, his parents were waiting for Radomir.
