Rodion H. Yefanov (Maliar)

Soldier Radion Yefanov (call sign Painter) was killed on January 22, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the village of Oleksandropil in the Donetsk region. In February, the defender would have turned 33 years old. Radion was born in Donetsk. From the age of 11, he was raised by his father. Radion graduated from school No. 112, then obtained the profession of a cook-confectioner at a vocational school. But he did not work in his specialty. Together with his father, he was engaged in the family business. He loved fishing, playing backgammon and sleeping. He was interested in numismatics. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began in 2014, he moved to Kyiv with his father. After the full-scale invasion, Radion and his father decided to go to war together. They joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The guy served in the 45th separate rifle battalion, held the position of a machine gunner. "There are no words to express our pain and sorrow. We miss you very much, dear. Our support and support, we grieve endlessly, we cannot get used to the fact that you are already in heaven. You are our glorious hero. He was not afraid, but stood up to defend his native Ukraine," wrote the stepmother of the fallen Natalia. The serviceman was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Radion is survived by his father, stepmother and brothers.
