Roman A. Korzun

Born on April 12, 1981, in the city of Kyiv. Lived in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv. In 1996, he graduated from the 9th grade of general education school No. 304 in Kyiv (now - specialized school No. 304 in Kyiv). Worked as a driver at the Limited Liability Company "Lasyunka-Stolitsa." On March 22, 2014, he was mobilized by the Sviatoshyn District Military Commissariat of Kyiv into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior gunner of the mortar battery of the mechanized battalion of the 1st Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1815, the urban-type settlement of Honcharivske, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region). From June 20, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He took part in the defense of Luhansk airport, in battles near the city of Volnovakha in Donetsk region, and in the defense of approaches to Donetsk airport. Call sign "Linza-2." On January 13, 2015, soldier Korzun was killed during shelling in the settlement of Pisky, Yasynuvata district, Donetsk region. On January 17, 2015, he was buried at the "Berkovets" City Cemetery in Kyiv.
