- 42-year-old National Guard soldier Roman Povaliy (call sign Romeo) was killed in the hospital on April 3, 2023. The fighter was severely wounded on November 9, 2022, during the battles for the village of Dudchany in the Kherson region. Doctors fought for the defender's life for almost five months. Roman was born and lived in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He received his education there. He served his compulsory military service. He dedicated his entire life to the army, where he served for 23 years. Since 2011, the man has been a serviceman of the 21st separate brigade of public order protection named after Petro Kalnyshevsky of the National Guard of Ukraine. Since 2014, he has been participating in the Russian-Ukrainian war. During the full-scale war, Roman continued to defend Ukraine in the ranks of his brigade. He was the commander of the platoon operational squad of the operational squad company (on vehicles). "Our dear, my darling. For someone you were the Flag, for someone - Ded, for someone - Romeo. For us, you are our defender, our superman, our support. Now you are our guardian angel. We are proud of you!" - wrote the wife of the fallen Vita. "Someday the time will come, and we will meet again, I will hear your 'daughter' again, and there will be a completely different life. Light, carefree, without pain and crying. But now I need to learn to live without your presence. I will learn, but it will take a little time to get used to it. I know how you didn't like tears, so forgive me, sometimes they flow by themselves. You left, but left behind three wonderful children. Imagine, as many as three of your copies! You left, but left behind warmth, strength, love. Thoughts of you charge me with incredible energy, so I often remember the funniest moments with you. I love you, dad. Forever your daughter (the eldest)," added daughter Elizaveta. The warrior was buried in his hometown. At home, Roman was awaited by his parents, wife and three children. The youngest daughter was 6 years old at the time of her father's death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
