Roman A. Yatsyna (Romchyk)

Soldier Roman Yatsyna (call sign Romchyk) was killed on March 10, 2023 near the village of Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was forever 24 years old. Roman was born in the city of Drohobych, Lviv region. He received a full secondary education at the local school No. 14. After receiving the certificate, he went to work as a sales consultant in the ATB supermarket. In 2018, he was drafted into the army for military service. He served in the Cherkasy region, and later in the Mostyskyi border detachment in the Turkiv region. After demobilization, in 2020, he returned home and went back to his previous job. During the full-scale war, in September 2022, Roman was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman in the 103rd separate brigade of the territorial defense. "Roman was very open and good, he always helped. A sincere and bright person who will forever remain in my heart," said his friend Maria. The defender was buried in the New Cemetery in his hometown. Roman is survived by his father, grandmother, sister, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
