- Senior soldier Roman Ivanochko (call sign Ram) died on January 23, 2024 while performing his duties near Marinka in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of an attack by an enemy drone. The defender was 42 years old. Roman was born in Mozdok (Russia), but lived in the Lviv region since childhood. He studied at the school in the village of Cherneve, where his father was from and where his parents built a house. After finishing school, he enrolled at the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", but left his studies in the 4th year to work and help his parents, supporting his younger sisters. He was a musician, a talented and creatively gifted person. He made flutes and various wind instruments, which he often gave as gifts. He was also engaged in sound editing. A Reiki master, he provided free training. He practiced meditation and was a vegetarian. However, he earned a living as a high-altitude installer. In November 2023, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of gunner in the 46th separate airmobile brigade. "My brother is one of those people about whom books are written," said his younger sister Sofia. Roman was buried in the village of Cherneve in the Lviv region. The defender left behind his parents, two sisters, and nephews. The paratrooper was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
