Roman D. Havriliuk (Shaman)

Junior Sergeant Roman Havryliuk (call sign Shaman) died on August 9, 2023 near the city of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he sustained a gunshot wound. When the evacuation was being carried out, the Russians began an artillery barrage, as a result of which the soldier also received shrapnel wounds that proved to be fatal. The following month, on September 6, he would have turned 27 years old. Roman was born in the city of Reni, Odesa region. In 2014, he graduated from the Izmail Naval Lyceum with a focus on military and physical training. He worked in construction in the city of Odesa. In the summer of 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 3rd Separate Special Operations Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave. He held the position of senior operator, flamethrower of the group. "Roma was an exceptionally good and kind man. He dreamed of a daughter, but he died a month before her birth. He was a true patriot and a motivated warrior. For over a year, he carried out combat missions on the territory of Ukraine, as well as in the occupied territories. Throughout his service, he was constantly on the brink of life and death. Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Urohaine, Vuhledar and other hot spots of our country..." - his wife Inga said. The warrior was buried in the village of Orlivka, Odesa region. Roman is survived by his parents, younger brother, wife and daughter. The hero was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
