Roman H. Myskiv

20-year-old Roman Myskiv was killed in action on June 27, 2022, during an artillery shelling in the area of the village of Dementiivka, Kharkiv region. Roman was born in the village of Pomoryany, Zolochiv district, Lviv region. He stu at the Pomoryany Comprehensive School. He loved playing football, was always the main initiator of the game among acquaintances and friends. For many years, he was a member of the altar society in the Pomoryany parish. Then he graduated from the Zboriv Professional College of the Ivan Puluj National Technical University of Ternopil and became a computer typesetting operator. In his student years, he dreamed of serving in the National Guard of Ukraine. At the end of 2021, the guy was drafted into the ranks of the National Guard for a term of service. Thus, his dream came true. Roman held the position of machine gunner's assistant in the 3rd Brigade of Operational Assignment named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan. With the beginning of the full-scale war, the fighter stood up to defend his native country. "Roman was a good, loving son. My comfort, consolation, and support. He was also honest, friendly, always ready to help others, diligent in performing his duties," said his mother Oksana. "He was an extremely bright, kind, and compassionate person! A faithful and sincere friend, a pride and great hope for his mother and relatives," the Pomoryany community noted. The young defender was buried in the village of Pomoryany, Lviv region, where he grew up. At home, Roman's grandmother, mother, and sister were waiting for him.
