- Sergeant Major Roman Andrushko (call sign Ramses) was killed on August 21, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of Novoyegorivka village in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 31 years old. Roman was born in Sudova Vyshnya, Lviv region. He graduated with honors from a vocational school in the village of Ivano-Frankove, Lviv region, where he obtained the profession of a carpenter. He worked abroad for some time, then at the "Yablunivskyi dar" enterprise, and his last place of work was the "Mayola" plant. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 420th separate rifle battalion. He held the position of platoon sergeant. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the eastern direction of the front. "A very kind and sensitive person who always came to help. From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he was a volunteer. He transported aid to the combat zone with his car. After joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he stood up to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. After training, he went to the combat zone in the Donetsk region. There, while carrying out combat missions, he proved himself to be a highly qualified, comprehensively developed fighter. During one of these tasks, the fighters under Roman's command courageously repelled the attack of the superior enemy forces, helped to hold the positions and save the lives of the servicemen, and then went on the counterattack and captured new enemy positions. Roman was awarded not one honorary letter," wrote the family friend Myroslava Pakholchuk. "Roman was a faithful and true friend. He had golden hands - whatever he took up, he succeeded in it. He was a loving son for his parents, the best brother and a caring father for his son Timofiy. He was also a very cheerful and sociable person," said Olga Andrushko, the wife of his brother. The defender was buried in his hometown. Roman is survived by his parents, younger brother with his family, son, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
