- 27-year-old senior soldier Roman Osadchuk (call sign Khan) was killed on March 24, 2022, near the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region. Together with two fellow soldiers, the defender was conducting aerial reconnaissance when they were spotted by the enemy and came under fire. The soldier sustained fatal injuries. Roman was born in Mykolaiv. He graduated from the local vocational school No. 25. Since 2014, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During his leaves, he enjoyed cycling. He was engaged in aerial photography with a drone. He was passionate about aikido. He served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, in aerial reconnaissance. Roman's contract ended in January 2022. But when the full-scale war began, he immediately joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Roman loved animals very much: cats, dogs, hamsters, parrots. It seemed that he could communicate with them in some special language, and they understood him. But he particularly liked aerial photography. He even did it during his leave. And he got me into it," said the father of the fallen, Ivan. The serviceman was buried at the Balabanivka cemetery in his hometown of Mykolaiv. Roman is survived by his parents and a younger brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
