Biography
Bevz Roman Mykolayovych was born on July 28, 1981, in the village of Avramivka, Monastyryshche district, Cherkasy region. In 1996, he entered the Kryvyi Rih Military Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training, which he graduated from in 1999. From September 1999 to June 2003, he studied at the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces, obtaining higher education in the specialty "Combat Application and Management of Actions of Units (Parts, Formations) of Ground Forces" and the qualification of a military management specialist — tactical level officer. From 2003 to June 2005, he held the position of commander of a training platoon — diving specialist of the 73rd Naval Special Operations Center. In June 2005, he was discharged to the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to staff reductions. During his studies at the Kryvyi Rih Military Lyceum, the Institute of Ground Forces, and during military service, he proved himself positively, skillfully applying military regulations and other guiding documents in practice, accurately executing orders while understanding their essence. He was always disciplined, professionally prepared, and capable of promptly solving complex tasks. During the training of personnel, he conducted classes at a high level, achieving excellent results in military service. He easily accomplished tasks that required organizational skills. These same qualities were demonstrated by Roman Mykolayovych during the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. He had an exceptional sense of responsibility and high moral qualities, proudly bearing the title of officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Roman Mykolayovych, together with his wife Iryna Oleksandrivna, raised three children: daughters Sofia (born in 2009) and Maria (born in 2012), and son Rostyslav (born in 2010). Thousands of residents of the city gathered in the square to pay their respects to the Hero and accompany him on his final journey. A large mourning procession passed through the central street of the city to the Heroes of Maidan Square, from where the family accompanied the soldier on his last journey to his native Avramivka. On February 5, 2015, a memorial plaque to Roman Bevz — a former student of the school, a hero, a soldier who died during combat operations in the ATO zone, defending the integrity and inviolability of our state — was solemnly unveiled on the facade of the Letichiv Secondary School of I–II degrees in the Monastyryshche district. Roman's father, Mykola Mykolayovych, recalled that his son was an ordinary person, attended this school, loved life, and when the decisive time came for the country, he went to war without hesitation and gave his life for Ukraine, for his children, for the peaceful life of each of us.
